3 days with the Artists
3 Days with the Artists is a weekend of art, music, great company, good food and holiday cheer.
Started in 1990 by Laura Nichols, 3 Days is about celebrating and supporting small businesses. Laura & Charlie Nichols (my parents) open up our home at HiddenSprings Farm in Great Falls, VA to artists and local patrons. This has been one of my favorite times of year since I was 7. A magical weekend fueled by the conversations and creations of artists getting together under one roof.
Because of the pandemic, this year looks a little different.
Please find a selection of our amazing artists below. We have some new participants and some you will recognize from years past. Each image and name will link you to an artist page that will tell you a bit more about each vendor as well as where to find their products. Thank you for supporting small businesses this holiday season! We will keep this page up for an entire year so you can find these artists whenever you please. We hope to see you in person next year!
2020 Artists
Laura Nichols, POTTER
I make homemade pots for everyday use. They are individually hand-painted with what I see, roosters and foxes, herons and pileated woodpeckers, dragonflies and owls, hens and chicks and guinea fowl.
Bill Hardy, WOODWORKER
I have been doing craft shows since about 1986 making a wide variety of practical and artistic items in wood with the lathe and bandsaw.
Anne Jordan, COPPER ARTIST
I enjoy the challenge of creating lifelike plants and animals, and forming hard copper into delicate and fluid objects.
Foster Holcombe, GLASS ARTIST
Art of Fire is a world class state-of-the-art glassblowing studio located in a renovated dairy barn in the Agricultural Reserve in northern Montgomery County.
Anna Brones, WRITER & ARTIST
She is the author of several books including Fika the Art of the Swedish Coffee Break, Best Served Wild: Real Food for Real Adventures, and Live Lagom: Balanced Living the Swedish Way.
Oak Lane Soapworks
For you, soap encompasses a portion of your day. For me, it’s most of my day. I’m creating or selling or writing or researching about soap.
Avery Lee Design, JEWELER
With sustainable and responsibly sourced materials, my work highlights bold shapes and innovative pairings of metal with unusual stones, each with its own story to tell.
Lady Farmer
We offer functional, fashionable, sustainable clothing and products for the intentional lifestyle, and we are a resource for the modern woman of all ages who yearns for a simpler way of life.
Moon Bath
True wellness arises when we re-align ourselves with the rhythms and elements of nature. In an increasingly chaotic and over-stimulating world, Moon Bath’s bathing rituals inspire you to create space to slow down, tune in and reconnect.
Jenny Nichols Glennon, INK & WATERCOLOR and LINO PRINTS
My goal with my drawings and lino prints is to bring wildlife conservation to audiences in a digestible form.
